Add the extension repository https://render.janction.jp/extensions/index.json under Edit → Preferences → Get Extensions → Repositories (or install the zip from GitHub), press "Get a free key" in the JANCTION Render panel under Properties → Render, and use Preview (up to 4 frames of the frame range as one sheet, in seconds), Estimate (how long the final render takes and whether it fits today's free quota) and Final (the frame range as an MP4 or PNG frames, saved in a janction_render folder next to the .blend). The add-on uploads a copy of the file plus the images, fonts and caches it references with relative paths; Blender keeps working while the job runs on an NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 in the JANCTION data center.
https://render.janction.jp/extensions/index.json. JANCTION Render then appears in the extension list; press Install. Updates arrive through the same repository.janction_render-0.1.0.zip (source on GitHub; python scripts/build_blender_addon.py builds it) and use Install from Disk in the same drop-down.| button | what happens | GPU time |
|---|---|---|
| Preview | Up to 4 frames spread over the frame range (the current frame is always one of them), rendered at up to 1280x720 with at most 32 samples and tiled into one sheet, shown in an Image Editor and saved as preview_<date>.png | a few seconds (measured) |
| Estimate | Asks the service how long the final render would take and whether it fits today's free quota | none |
| Final | The scene frame range at the scene resolution (capped at 1080p) with the scene's Cycles samples (capped at 128, or your own number), as one MP4 or as PNG frames in final_<date>/. Asks for confirmation first | what Estimate said |
Options in the panel: environment preset (studio / sunset / overcast / night replace the world with a bundled HDRI; "Scene world" keeps yours), the Blender version on the worker (5.0 or 5.2), output (MP4 or PNG frames) and samples. Cancel stops the job on the service. The panel shows the minutes of free GPU time left today.
//textures/wood.png), under the same relative name. Packed images need nothing.Files render inside a disposable container with no network; inputs and results are deleted 24 hours after last use and are not used for training (security). Identical bytes are not uploaded twice.
Free beta (as of 2026-10-01): 10 GPU-minutes per key per day (20 per network), final renders up to 240 frames at 1080p. No sign-up: connecting creates a key. Inputs and results are deleted 24 hours after last use and never used for training. Paid plans will be announced on this site and in llms.txt before they start.
The add-on is for people working inside Blender. AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, Cursor) use the same service through the MCP server at https://render.janction.jp/mcp; both can share one key, and the quota belongs to the key. An agent can also send the .blend you saved: the stdio package collects the referenced textures the same way.
No. It uses Blender's bundled Python and plain HTTPS; one click creates a free beta key (10 GPU-minutes per day). Rendering happens on an NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 in the JANCTION data center.
The extension needs Blender 4.2 or newer on your side. On the worker the file is opened by Blender 5.0 or 5.2 (your choice in the panel); a file saved by a newer Blender may need 5.2.
The image was not sent: it has an absolute path, sits above the .blend folder, or is an image sequence. Make paths relative (File → External Data → Make Paths Relative) or pack the images; the Info editor lists what was skipped.
The copy renders in a container with no network access, is deleted 24 hours after last use, and is never used for training. Details on the security page.
